Solo time tracking FAQ
This page covers the practical questions — cost, data, imports, what happens if you stop using it. Questions regarding why there are no teams, why there's no account, or how manual time entry works, those get proper answers on their own pages rather than being repeated here.
Is this actually free?
Yes — no account required, no plan to pick, nothing to enter a card for. There's no roadmap commitment beyond that today; if a paid tier ever exists, it would be a separate decision made later, not something already built in and hidden.
Do I need an internet connection to use it?
You'll need to load the page online the same as any web app. Once it's open, your data is stored locally and is not sent anywhere while you use it — see private, local-first tracking for what that actually means.
Can I import data from another time tracker?
You can import time entries from a JSON file — useful if you're bringing in a backup, moving between browsers, or switching from somewhere else and want your history to come with you rather than starting from zero.
Is there a mobile app?
No native app, but the web app is built to work properly in your phone's browser too — not just squeezed to fit.
What happens to my data if I stop using it?
Nothing happens to it automatically — it just stays on your device until you do something with it. There's no account to close and no company holding it, but that also means it's on you to export a copy if you ever move to a new browser or computer. We advise to make regular back-ups in any case. Full details on that trade-off is on the private tracking page.
Where do I start?
Open the dashboard and create your first project — there's no setup step before that.
